serenity

in honor of Serenity being released today.... and me not seeing it....

You scored as Hoban 'Wash' Washburne. The Pilot. You are a leaf on the wind, see how you soar. You have a good job, and a stunning wife who loves you (and can kill people). Life is good, which is why you can't help smiling. Now if you can just get people to actually listen to your opinion things would be perfect.

i'm obsessed with talking about my kid

i can't help it, he's super cute, except when he's tired and cranky, but that doesn't happen too often. when this is the case he often wants boob. last night he screamed bloody murder for about 15 minutes flailing all over the place b/c he woke up and he wanted some boob and i wouldn't give him any... that's right folks, we're still boobin' as i call it... even says "boo" lol... at some point while boobin' i said "honestly evan... how many guys get as much boob as you and still complain they can't get enough?" tyler and trev laughed. it was funny...

here are a few pictures of evan 2 nights ago... it's been chilly at nighttime around here, so after his bath i put in him is footy pj's that i bought last winter b/c the 2T's were too small.. these are the 3T's, and i'm telling you that they won't last the whole winter.. gerber clothes if ind tend to run small... well at least their pj's, thermal underwear and long john's... b/c last winter when evan was wearing the 2T i had to buy 3T b/c his stomach was hanging out of the shirts.. lol
let's remind everyone that evan isn't even 2 years old and is comfortable wearing size 3T (which is intended for 3 year-old toddlers) he can still wear his 2T's though which is good, but if anyone is planning on clothes for gifts for eith birthday or christmas... 3T is the way to go.

the night i put evan in these pj's i went to herb's blog and read that he was sweating bullets.. ha ha ha.. usually chicago is colder than us! altho i hear we're in for a bad winter... great...

the second picture here came out well.. until i noticed jason yawning in the back... oh well. and the 3rd picture is good too, if you like looking at people who roll their eyes.. well evan looked cute anyhow. i accidentally just deleted the picture, so now i have to wait for it to upload again.

while at a clients house today i was talking about how i need more shoes and how a gay guy in chicago has more shoes than me... he laughed... my client said that if he could he would have tons of shoes too... he is also gay. :) of course i knew that, but it was funny.

it's dinner time now, so i'm signing off!

somewhat accurate i think

Your Birthdate: May 22

While sometimes employing unorthodox approaches, you are capable of handling large scale undertakings.
You assume great responsibility and work long and hard toward completion.
Often, especially in the early part of life, there is rigidity or stubbornness, and a tendency to repress feelings.

Idealistic, you work for the greater good with a good deal of inner strength and charisma.
An extremely capable organizer, but likely to paint with broad strokes rather than detail.
You are very aware and intuitive.
You are subject to a good deal of nervous tension.

my name is erica, and i have an addiciton...

i'm addicted to reading other peoples blogs... perhaps it's b/c i'm a person who has a very bad tendency to be curious/nosey, which i've been since i was little. perhaps i have OCD- blogging, but not typing blogs but rahter just reading them to find out what people are up to. who knows... it could be a subconcieous way for me to be reaching out to others.. to communicate with a wider circle of people.. such as family that lives far away or friends who live far away too.. that sounds better a little less crazy...

this is the current radar for Rita from weather.com.... all i have to say is holy cow.. that is a big storm with lots of rain... i'm glad to see that the feds were already there and moving in before it even hit.. it just sucks that it has to take a tragedy like katrina to wake up our gov't. let's all hope that the communities dont' disappear that that new orleans doesn't flood much more than it has already!

it is past my bedtime, so we're going to hit the sack.

oh wait it's janelle's birthday today, but i don't have her number or anything since she jumped off the face of the earth, so if any one sees janelle f. please wish her a happy birthday for me...

* please note that this is a different janelle than the one who has a blog link on my page so don't wish her a happy birthday, she may get confused

sorry, i'm lazy

i would just like to say that i've been a bad blogger. i visit everyone else 's blog's everyday, and often several times a day expecting a new post... but here i am.. what, a week since my last post? i have no excuse.. i'm just lazy or quickly reading and not commenting b/c i'm fighting with evan to keep the monitor on, or for him to not hit keys on the keyboard sending me off in various realms of the web.

my real estate class started this week... it seems okay.. we spent almost 2 hours just doing intros and reasons for taking the class... but it was good, and then we stated on the basics, terminology and the like.. it was right out of the first chapter of the book that i was only one of the few that bought ahead of time. i probably wouldn't have worried about it, but i know how professors at UMass are... they like to have homework due for the first day of class... that's right folks... before class even starts your often expected to have read the first chapters of your books and/or your intros for the first class... so i did i read the intro, and probably for the first time i didn't feel behind on the first day of class. it took me 4 years of college to figure this out... and i didn't realize it of course until after i graduated. soemtimes i can be so blonde it scares even me... which says something b/c i've put up with being blonde my whole life... you'd think i've experienced all the blondeness i'm capable of.... not true. i often surprise myself with myself...

i'm a proud graduate of Watroba's Space Academy, where i graduated with the title of "Space Cadet". Amanda enrolled shortly after me, and then Kim too... both have which since graduated. and now Tammy remains as the sole "Space Captain". i must say that she was never spacey at work not like me and amanda. i assume it was b/c she worked the day shift only, where as amanda and i would often work nights and then come in the next morning. i'm glad i don't work there anymore... i hated that job. i like the people.. the customers and my co-workers, but the actual job of working in a family grocery store and deli, just stunk.

so now i sample water for MassHighway Dept.... they get complaints from people all over the state saying that their (well) water is contaminated with road salt, and they'd like somehting done... so they send me to go to their house every month for a year and grab samples. whoopdie do. it's not a bad job and it pays well considering i only work 3 days a week, and i get to make my own schedule, but i jsut don't want to do it anymore. i'm sick of driving to Great Barrington and then to Boxford and then off to Lakeville, plus many other towns in between...

and that's why i'm taking this real estate class... driving around the county or eveen the valley doesn't bother me as long as i don't have to drive clear across the state to be at someones house for less than an hour. but see i'm smart... (i think) i'm not going to leave my current job until i can find out if i can make money doing real estate.. we'll see where it takes me.

lunch just beeped, so i'm off and then to put evan for a nap

what to blog?

so i've had the need to blog the past fe days, but i dont' really have anything important to say.

i'm glad guests have arrived at otis so not only do they have a good place to stay but also for all the volunteers who put in long hours to hear that they may not even show up at all. these people need homes and i'm glad that our governor offered up camp edwards to them. so far i think it's the only thing i think i can be happy about what the governor did.

we had a good time at the county fair today... mom-in-law kathy got a table unde the craft tent... sales had been slow when we left around 2, but there was still the rest of today and all of tomorrow to sell stuff... she's just hoping to mak back the cost for the table...$85. speaking of which she has my sewing table so i'm currently unable to work on my sewing projects. one is evan's halloween costume which shouldn't take me long once i can get sewing. the other is a christmas gift, but i'm not saying for who b/c i don't want to ruin the surprise. i just hope to get it finished by christmas. oh crap i forgot to buy christine's birthday present. i'll do it tomorrow for sure.. can't forget... can't forget.

i've been h ooked on reading Michael Connelly books.. if your looking for something good, pick up anything of his he writes about murders in LA. they are very good and suck you in... i told myself i couldn't read any more of his stuff until go got my sewing done, but seeing as how i'm without my sewing table i don't have a choice but to read when even goes to bed :)

most outrageus tv moments is on and a dog just took a dump on the stage of a morning news show.. ha ha ha. and a cat food brand named "pussy".. that's a good one. these shows can be funny, but jason doesn't like them.. no big loss really.

i've got to run... evan's got a nugget for me.. i can see it bulging in the diaper.... oh the joys

back on school time

we're back on school time out here.. getting up the crack of dawn, going to bed at 10 pm, not much you can do when your husband is a teacher.... but frankly i've deteremined that i don't mind gettin up so early ( 6-6:30) as long as i can go to bed by 11 at the latest. and now i let evan sleep and i come downstairs and putz around.. be put some bed rails on our bed so he can't roll off. the good one i got for free from one of my clients, and the other onw we got at a yard sale for $2. then i put a gate at the bedroom door so he can't fall down the stairs..w orks out well, and i get a little piece and quiet until about 7am when he usually calls for me to let him out. speaking of yard sales perhaps i'll go check out the ads for this weekend....

it's interesting how one types more on their blog knowing that people actually read it. i just spent 15 min or so reading all my old blogs, and when i first started i only posted once or so a month, if that, but as people got reading, i got typing...

jason's job is going very well ( i was tempted to type "very good" but nanny starting correcting me in my brain, and she won... she always did) i'm glad he finally has a job doing something he's always wanted to do. meanwhile i'm still waiting to hear from umass on the real estate class... i'm very much looking ofrward to it, and getting in a job where i don't have to drive all over hell and back..e besides i'd like to have another baby soon, but i'm not going to get pregnant while i'm still doing this job and risk going into labor somewhere near timbucktoo. remeber evan? well he was three weeks early. god, i'll never forget the incredible uncomfortableness the days prior to delivery.. next time i'll know what it means.

anyhow, i'll have to drive doing real estate, but not to boxford/topsfield nor to great barrington several times a month every month. there are definatley worse jobs out there, but i'm just getting sick of the driving... i feel that it's contributing to me getting fat. driving ofen 4-5 hours a day and stopping at quick places to eat, while i'm out... one can only eat so many sandwiches before her head falls off. lately i've been trying to cut calories to an extent when eating out... not much, but it makes me feel a little better... thus said, subway needs a drivethru... not b/c i'm lazy, but for when i have my son with me and i don't want to drag him in.

jason got his diploma in the mail a couple of days ago.. i feel as though i should through him a party, but he's already started school so now it's too late. and who wants to drive across the state with gas prices like they are? no one!

btw, i was thinking of having a halloween party for evan's birthday on oct 30th for the babies if you're interested... but i was also going to have a seperate party for family after his birthday. no real details yet though.

i think that's it for now. time to check out the tag sale ads. (that's west. mass lingo for yard sale, why i don't know, but it is...)
